Carbon filters

Discarb filters

A series of bonded carbon panels sealed into a deep case so no air can bypass the carbon, for heavy odour and hazardous gas loads including hydrogen sulphide and ammonia.

Product features

Construction and performance

  • Used in a wide range of air purification and vapour phase applications for general odour removal, cooking odours, exhaust fumes, ammonia and its derivatives, formaldehyde and other airborne pollutants.
  • A series of carbon panels mounted in a sealed case.
  • Panels made using long established bonding techniques, with the carbon encapsulated in carbon impregnated cloth to prevent any leakage of granules or powder.
  • Each carbon panel is sealed into the case so no air can bypass the carbon.
  • Used on supply to purify incoming air, or on extract to remove toxic gases and odours from a process.
  • Loose fill or bonded carbon, depending on the odours to be removed.
  • Depths of 197mm, 292mm, 397mm, 440mm or 597mm.
  • Filter class: 50% CTC.

Key benefits

  • Bonded solid carbon panels give strong adsorption of offensive odours and hazardous substances, including hydrogen sulphide and ammonia, for cleaner indoor air.
  • Carbon loadings from 18kg to 67kg cover a wide range of air volumes and contact times.

Typical applications

  • Hydrogen sulphide
  • Ammonia
  • Kitchens and cooking odours
  • Exhaust fumes
  • Process extract
  • Supply air purification
