TM44 Inspections are required by law for all buildings in the Uk with an air conditioning system which has 12 kw or more of combined cooling capacity.  This Legislation is derived from the European Performance of Buildings Directive and is required by law in the UK.

The Building owner or Manager who is responsible for the controls of the air conditioning system is responsible for ensuring their site has a Certificate in place and is compliant with the Legislation. Once the Inspection has been carried out and a Certificate is in place this is valid for 5 years. The inspection must be carried out by an independent, qualified and Accredited assessor who will provide a report which looks at the efficiency of the system and gives recommendations to improve and make energy savings.
